Building the vision…
In July, 2025 I set the regional record for Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate’s 148 lb. weight class, amateur submaster, raw classic division bench press.
I hit a 225 lb. bench press at <143 lbs. bodyweight to set the New England record and win the meet.
Now I won’t lie and tell you this award is meaningless and it’s all about the process. This lift meant everything to me. I ran two marathons, dozens of other road races, countless team sports growing up, but I never actually won anything. Given my competitive nature, the trophy in my office from this day scratched an itch I’ve had since I could first comprehend the concept of athletic competition.
After a herniated disc, crutches, pain, surgery, physical therapy, and the general wear and tear of heavy lifting, this accomplishment meant even more to me.
But the best thing about lifting is that it represents everything the vision is about: consistency, dedication, resilience, longevity, and discipline.
