Consistency is my superpower.

Promoting the vision…

When you teach at an alternative, public high school, teaching English class becomes much more than standards in a textbook.

It’s about promoting a way of life based on manipulation of the English language.

I’ve been teaching the High School Learning Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts since 2011, and the biggest lesson I can teach my students is about respect for language, developing a sustainable and healthy way of life, and using language skills to develop a fulfilling career.

Throughout my career I’ve racked up awards and honors that demonstrate my commitment to the field. Teacher of the Year Rising Star Finalist, Inaugural Teacher Leadership Cabinet, 7x Sontag Prize Award Winner, and more. I’m humbled and grateful for this recognition, but for anyone reading this, the only qualities these awards reveal about me are: consistency, resilience, and dedication.

I’m not playing around here. Teaching is in my blood. It’s the family business. Students who realize this will find my instruction the most fruitful.
